What HRSA asks of your files
HRSA asks health centers to credential and privilege all clinical staff. That means verifying current licensure through a primary source, verifying LIP education and training through a primary source, completing an NPDB query, and reviewing on a recurring cycle, for example every two years.

What EddyCore keeps in one place
Provider records and supporting documents for LIPs, other licensed or certified practitioners, and other clinical staff. License and certification expiration tracking, plus tracking for outstanding items. Workflow routing and status visibility. AI-assisted document and field extraction, always reviewed by a person. Conversational reporting.

Your team, our specialists, or both
Keep credentialing in-house, hand a defined portion of the work to Eddy's credentialing (CVO) and payer enrollment specialists, or bring us in for a broader scope. HRSA lets health centers choose a CVO. Your health center keeps approval authority, and everyone sees the same status in the platform.

Credentialed. Then enrolled.
A credentialed provider still has to be enrolled before claims go out. EddyCore tracks every Medicare, Medicaid and commercial plan application, so your team can see where each one stands through the effective date. Want help with the legwork? Eddy's enrollment specialists can take it on for you.

Ready when the site visit is.
Site visit teams ask for each clinical staff member's credentialing and privileging dates and files. EddyCore tracks every HRSA item for every clinical staff file, from license verification to peer review, with status and dates in one exportable checklist.
FQHC credentialing questions
What are HRSA's credentialing requirements for FQHCs?
HRSA's Health Center Program Compliance Manual (Chapter 5) asks health centers to have operating procedures for initial and recurring credentialing of all clinical staff, whether they are employees, individual contractors, or volunteers. As applicable, those procedures verify current licensure, registration, or certification through a primary source; education and training (through a primary source for licensed independent practitioners); a National Practitioner Data Bank query; identity, using government-issued photo ID; DEA registration; and current basic life support training.
How often do FQHCs need to recredential and re-privilege providers?
The health center sets its own timeframe, and HRSA gives every two years as an example. To keep FTCA deeming status, though, a health center must credential and privilege its deemed providers at least every two years.
What's the difference between credentialing and privileging at a health center?
Credentialing confirms a clinician's qualifications, such as licensure, education, and training. Privileging decides which services that clinician is authorized to provide at your health center. It's based on fitness for duty, immunization and communicable disease status, and current clinical competence, which at renewal is shown through peer review or a comparable method.
Can a community health center use a CVO for credentialing?
Yes. HRSA says each health center decides how credentialing is carried out, and that includes contracting with a credentials verification organization (CVO). The health center still decides who holds approval authority. During an FTCA site visit, HRSA may ask to see your CVO agreement.
Does Eddy offer discounts for community health centers?
Yes. Eddy has served healthcare organizations and community health centers since 2016, and nonprofit discounts are available. The easiest way to see what fits is a 20-minute sneak peek.
